For werewolf rights. Appearance APPEARANCE: Ginny is the more womanly version of the same girl she was in school; Long red hair with a slight wave to it, with an Irish pale face and a smattering of freckles across her nose. Freckles which she, sometimes, charms from view; it is always a love/hate relationship with Ginny and her freckles. And as always, she has her bright brown eyes. Sadly, though, she is never going to be a tall girl, hitting her top growth mark at five feet and just under seven inches, she will always be on the short side, though she is proud to say she is just slightly taller than her mother. Thanks to Quidditch, Ginny is deceptively strong. She looks all soft with nice slight curve to her, but beneath that softness… is muscle. She runs and exercises daily. She doesn’t want to become ripped or visually strong, but she has to keep up her strength in order to play the game good. Though since having twins, her hips are now more pronounced than before. Vocally, Ginny has a nice alto voice. Not musical, but a good, strong kind, one that is pleasing to hear. And her laughter is seen as cute, as it’s a bit more girlish than you would think her capable of, and she tends to hide her mouth behind her hands or beneath the neckline of her shirt while she laughs. She is moderately apt to gesturing while talking, and usually when she’s excited. Her manner of dress is a mixture of tomboy and girlish. Practicality mixed with a bit of feminine flare. She likes dressing in practical ways, but she also very much likes being a girl. She’s only moderately interested in fashion. If she likes it, she likes it. As for quirks… She chews on her thumb when lost in thought or nervous, or twirls the end of her ponytail. Personality WAND: 12 inch Hazel with Dragon Heartstring core, perfect balance between flexibility and rigidity. BOGGART: Alternatively, a young Tom Riddle or Basilisks, and snakes period to a secondary degree. PATRONUS: Horse DETAILED PERSONALITY: Through the years Ginny has steadily become a stronger individual. She started out with fanciful adoration of the Boy Who Lived, immediately falling into a deep crush. It was also when she was at her most carefree. Life was good, nothing bad happened. Her life was golden, and her family was safe. She was at her most innocent and naive. But as life goes, things changed and Ginny changed with them. The first major step she took toward changing and being put on the path to become who she is was when the Diary incident happened. To Ginny, that showed her the greatest flaws in herself, in the little girl she was. Being left to be saved, depending on Harry and Ron to come to her aid, and being so easily taken in by Tom Riddle… This was definitely not the kind of girl she wanted to be. She did not see herself being so weak. She was more than this. Step by step Ginny grew. She worked tirelessly on herself, became her strictest teacher within the confines of her own mind. She was determined to become more mature and more able. But it also gave birth to a harder side of her, the side that kept her emotions at bay when she should grieve, and kept a part of what made her who she was firmly locked away. A touch of a selfish side, one that honestly? Was normal to have, that would see her looking to her own happiness. But now she ignored it in order to see to the happiness of those around her. But she she saw herself as stronger for it. Having the family she did, it is no wonder Ginny has a distinct dislike to people trying to coddle her. She no delicate flower, and she is not a child. It is her greatest pet peeve; one firmly entrenched in her by the suffocating way her family tried to keep her at bay and not become involved; trying to protect her. A part of her, to this day, still holds a bit of resentment for this, but she’s come to terms with it. They’re family, and no matter how irritating they can get at times, she still loves them fiercely. Because to her? There is absolutely nothing more important than family. As for romantic feelings, there was sadly only ever really Harry, none of the other boys could really get to her. Her love for him is a mixture of the first love mixed with deluded-like picture of who he is as well as a bit of that old hero worship. She saw herself happy in the nice, soft and sometimes awkward way with him. However, what she unknowingly craves is something more heated, a rush she’s never experienced. Something she only sees in other relationships, and reads in those books she keeps stashed away. Ginny doesn't quite realize how limited she has made herself, that there is still yet more to herself that she has yet to find. She is under the firm thinking that she knows all there is to know about herself. In attitude, Ginny is a spunky redhead with a good deal of fire in her. Stereotypical? Perhaps, but it still makes her who she is. She is not afraid to speak her mind, nor to stick up for what and who she believes in. She is a protectress of her family and those she loves. And while she will stand up for those who are 'weak' and the 'under dogs', it is truly her family and loved ones who rank the highest in her esteem. Ginny is also a rather active girl, loving Quidditch and playing any sports she can. In fact, she's become quite fond of muggle futball (soccer). She also simply just likes being on a broom, or going for walks and hikes out into the wilderness. She loves the outdoors, and loves staying active. Sitting still is not for her, nor is being cooped up inside as she would likely suffer with any other form of employment. She still practices charms, hexes and transfiguration diligently. She never stops with keeping up on the newest defense spells, and has decided that when she retires from Quidditch it will either be as a writer, or to join the Curse Breakers like her eldest brother. As for her dislikes? She doesn't like being still for long. And while she does enjoy dressing up and being girly, she is not one for formal events. she also doesn't like being told what to do, and she dislikes feeling stagnant. And, as always, she hates purist views... and the Malfoy's. History CHILDHOOD: Ginevra Molly Weasley was born as a surprise into the Weasley family. The first female born in a couple generations, it was a miracle! And her mother was downright ecstatic. After all, she had a house full of rambunctious boys. And Ginny… well, she wasn’t exactly spoiled, the family wasn’t rich enough for momentary spoiling, but she never lacked in love and support. Growing up with six older brothers was an experience, to say the least. Her eldest brothers were enigma’s most of the time, but protective of her. There wasn’t much playing together, as they were so much older, but she kind of idolized them. But Ron and the twins? Oh, she would joke about how they made her childhood hell, all the teasing, pranks… She was the twins’ favorite target, next to Ron. But never tease Ginny or make fun of her! They were also her fiercest saviors on the ‘playground’. They were also the closest to Ginny. And the twins, they seemed to be the ones in the family that really got her. HOGWARTS. Ginny can still remember the time she received her acceptance into Hogwarts, what it felt like to ride the train for the first time, the boat ride across the lake, and the hat. Oh, the hat was just thrilled to have another Weasley (though I might have been he was thrilled he was getting the last Weasley, for this generation). And, without a great deal of surprise, she was thrown in amongst her siblings in Gryffindor. And like all her brothers? She fit the house perfectly. Her first year at school, she thought, started out perfectly. New people to meet, new friends, and Harry, Harry was nearby. Oh how she had crushed after him then. Quiet, bashful, not nearly as confidant as she would become. She was just an awkward young girl who spilled out her hearts desires regarding Harry to her journal. The only thing was, well, that the journal talked back. Slowly at first, but more rapidly later in the year, her first year at Hogwarts became torture. She’d lose minutes, hours in a day. And the attacks. It terrified her, and at first she didn’t know what to do, what to make of it. At first she didn’t know it was the journal making her do it. The journal, the boy inside the journal, Tom Riddle, had worked his ‘magic’ on her, manipulating her until near the end. Until she really found out what was going on. That was when she tried to get rid of it. But it didn’t stop her from ending up in the Chamber of Secrets, Tom Riddle’s prisoner. When it all ended, when Harry took her from the Chamber and she was lying in the Hospital Wing bed, waiting to be released, she knew what she had to do. She knew she had to fix everything about herself that had allowed a curse in a journal be able to take over her mind so completely. She began to immediately work on it. She seemed to become less of a hanger-on with Harry, and focused a lot on her studies. She was particularly interested in the classes that would allow her to be able to protect herself should she ever have to again. This meant Charms and Defense Against Dark Magic were her top classes. As she got older, the crush for harry was still there, she still followed him with her eyes from time to time, but she saw it as a childish dream. So she didn’t put much hope into him finally noticing her back, or tried not to. This meant that she did try to date others, to move on from Harry, but they never worked out. They never got past kissing and some wandering hands. Yes, Ginny firmly stayed a virgin. As she got older, she became more capable, and found herself joining in on the antics of Harry, Ron and Hermoine. Joining and naming Dumbledore’s Army, going to the Department of Mysteries, involving herself and helping to revive Dumbledore’s Army, and then taking part in the final battle. She did each and every one with precise handling of herself, showing over and over that she was able to take care of herself, that she was strong in her own right. And it was during that, during that time when Ginny was in the midst of fully blossoming that finally, finally Harry looked her way. That first kiss seemed magical to her. She’d finally caught the eye of the boy she’d liked for so long. And that crush easily turned to love. Her first love, and she firmly wanted it to be her last love as well. Harry would survive this war brewing, she saw in him the hero that would not be brought down by Lord Voldemort. To her Harry shone brightly, his flaws lessened until to her he was perfect. Perfect Harry. Even when he left her to go hunting for the Horcrux’s she did not dim in her feelings. He had his mission to do, and Ron and Hermoine would be there with him. They’d accomplish it, and she? Ginny would do her best to see to it things on their side did not slacken. With Neville during that particularly horrific year at Hogwarts under Headmaster Snape, they rallied and protected the students from their absurd Professors. They kept the students safe while Harry and co. did there thing. And then the Final Battle came. Ever the one to disregard being told to stay behind and stay safe, Ginny and Luna left to join in. They’d more than proven themselves up till then and they would not be left behind, not now. So out they went, engaging in battle, uncaring of the close calls they had, just going and going. On and on she went, wand ever in motion until the very end. Until finally, Lord Voldemort fell for the last time, and the battle was over. But it wasn’t really over, not yet. They had to round up the Death Eaters, had to rebuild their lives. And Ginny and Luna still had a year of school left to go. A year that was significantly less eventful than the years before. POST-HOGWARTS: The moment Ginny graduated from Hogwarts was a relief. She was glad to be out of the halls so filled with memories, good and bad. She loved the school, no question there. However, it was just good to finally be moving on from that chapter in her life. It helped that she practically walked right into a position in the Holyhead Harpies, easily acquiring the position of Reserve Chaser for them. And under them her skill on the pitch is beginning to really bloom and people are starting to take notice. Though still, she waited for Harry. Agreeing to wait for things to settle down to take things to the next step, which came slowly. But after a year she had a ring on her finger... but nothing more than that came. He was too busy for her. Too busy being the savior of the world, and too busy living in the past with all of the dead and gone people. She had her own ghosts, but she moved on with them the best she could. Harry didn't seem to want to move on, though. And after waiting so long, saving herself for Harry, loving him... she reached her breaking point. He just didn't seem to really love her anymore, and that hurt. It happened in a large fight, one that ended with the engagement ring he had given her being flung back at him and her leaving...
